The North Jetty is located at the southern tip of the south-facing Somoa Peninsula. The Jetty forms a left-handed sand bar with ideal conditions, creating a powerful, intermediate to advanced wave. During late fall and through the winter months the North Jetty begins to show its potential with the aid of consistent southerly offshore winds and distant ground swells.
Surf when there is a low to medium tide. It is best when there is a west/northwest swell direction
and south/southeast winds. For the surf report- NOAA Buoy Station 46022.Keep in mind when it?s big it can get crowded, and remember to respect the locals.
From HWY 101 North or South take exit 713 to merge to CA 255 S/ Samoa Blvd. toward Samoa and continue to follow CA 255 S. Take a slight right onto New Navy Base Rd. and continue to follow. New Navy Base Rd turns right into Lincoln Rd and the North Jetty is located at the end.
Not accommodating. There are walkways but they are rough and weathered.
Yes bring your dogs!
