Robin Gilliland wrote on March 13, 2013: My family and I have been coming to this camp ground for 5 years. I love the simple sites and the location is amazing. Over the years there are always new hosts and some have been better then others. I have seen the sites clean, and trashed. So it can be a hit or miss at any time. But if you are looking to camp on the beach to hear the waves at night and not worry about the RVs blocking the best view and listening to the buzz from the electricity, TV, radio, lights, ect. This is the place to be!
New Camp Host- Parkinson's wrote on February 14, 2013: As of November 2012, our family moved to Smith River and became the NEW Camp Hosts @ Clifford Memorial Kamph. We are pleased to say that the drop box is fixed and we regulate our visitors and the restrooms. We have cleaned-up the area and now is a Family Beachfront Camping Distination. We hope you come visit us again soon.
Richard E Boatright wrote on October 22, 2012: Hello don't know if anyone reads this page. But I spent the day and night there on October 13 or 14 and when me and my family got there we found out that there was a self made camp host or I was told by them that they were volenter hosts. But when we went to pay the drop box had been broken into and had no back so we held on to it tell the so called host came over and asked about it and took the mony and payment slip. The hosts look to have been broken down travelers. Witch had a big RV ( called the silver bullet) and a pull trailer as well. They seemed to be nice people and kepted the camp site clean and all that. But later as the sun went down there was another tent camper that got louder and drunker as it got darker. And as the sun went down the hitch hikers from the 101 hwy started to move in as well. Some started to come into camp and also were messing with are car. The next morning come to find out the restrooms turned into a camp site for the hitches and the ones that wanted to stay dry. And come to find out that sence it wasn't a pull in camp sit witch it had the room to be one and have twice as much camp sites as well. That are car had a window broken and a new paint job on park of it. But other then that it was a nice beach camping area. But wouldn't stay the night there again for 15.00 a night and get your windows done and a new paint job on a rental car. Good thing me and the family got the insurence. LOL
