Description of Event

This birding, nature, and heritage celebration offers up to 70 events, workshops, guided field trips, and water excursions celebrating the wildness of California's northernmost Redwood Coast. All take place in Del Norte County's globally outstanding natural areas, including: Redwood National and State Parks, the Smith River National Recreation Area, Castle Rock Wildlife Refuge, Tolowa Dunes State Park, the Lake Earl Wildlife Area, and Lake Earl Coastal Lagoon.

On offer at the event are field trips and programs for everyone from the most avid birder or botanist to the general nature lover or history buff. The event also hosts a trade and vendor fair, children's activities, and wild bird viewing.

Admission Fee (if any): $45 general registration fee; extra charge for some programs; many events free

Ages Festival is Appropriate For: All ages
