California Coastal National Monument ~ Viewpoint ~ Duncan's Landing Rocks

Photo © Rick Hanks
Picnic with a spectacular unobstructed view southward of California Coastal National Monument rocks and seastacks. Here along Sonoma Coast State Beach the seastacks are close to shore and a multitude of rocks of various shapes and sizes brace against the waves all the way down the coast.
Duncan's Landing is off the west side of Highway 1 on Sonoma Coast State Beach, about 5 miles north of Bodega Bay.
Just to the west is a loop drive around the headland. The north end of the loop offers a view of additional monument seastacks and rocks.
To the south, between Duncan's Landing and Salmon Creek a series of pull-outs and parking lots accommodate the unending spectacular vistas of the monument features. These pullouts include Gleason Beach about a half-mile south and Arched Rock at 2 miles.
Year-round
Excellent view of rocks from paved parking area and from the short loop drive around the headland.
