The Brutocao Schoolhouse Plaza is located in the historic Hopland High School buildings, used as a school from 1923 to 1963. This complex includes wine tasting, an Italian restaurant with wood-fired oven pizzas, a wedding site, regulation bocce courts for public use, a children's play area, and lovely rose gardens.

Located about 2 hours north of San Francisco on Hwy. 101, the charming town of Hopland used to raise hops for beer-making is now known for its exceptional wine grapes and wineries. A small brewpub, a terrific cafe, a renovated historic hotel, a few antique shops, the Solar Living Center, and a several wine tasting rooms compliment this town and make for a fun walking adventure.

Take Hwy. 101 north to Mendocino County - the highway narrows to 2 lanes just south of Hopland and cuts right through the town. The Solar Living Center is on the right as you enter town, the Brutocao Schoolhouse Plaza is on the left, with ample parking in the back. From the north, take Hwy 101 to the town of Hopland in Southern Mendocino county. Park and walk the few blocks of this town - look for the historic church behind the superette, and other historic buildings: Brutocao Schoolhouse Plaza, The Hopland Inn, the Savings Bank. Just south of Hopland see an old Hop Kiln at Milano Winery.
